Is invoicing in Finq really free?
Yes, forever. Unlimited invoices and quotes as PDF with your own logo, plus customers, projects, time tracking and mileage tracking. No trial that runs out, no watermark, no payment details needed.
So what do I pay for?
Only for Finq Plus: expenses and receipts, bank imports, the quarterly VAT return, reports and recurring invoices for clients on a subscription. It costs EUR 4.99 per month including VAT, after a free 30-day trial. Cancel any month.
Is there a limit on the number of invoices or customers?
No. Invoices, quotes, customers and projects are unlimited, also in the free part. There is no pricier plan you are being nudged towards; EUR 4.99 per month is the highest price Finq has.
How can Finq be so much cheaper than other tools?
Finq is built by a freelancer for freelancers and deliberately does one thing well: the administration of a self-employed professional without staff. No payroll, no multi-user office suite and no advertising budget that has to be earned back.
What happens after the Finq Plus trial ends?
The trial simply ends; nothing is charged automatically, because you start the trial without payment details. Only the accounting part locks, your invoices and hours keep working. Your accounting data is kept safe and is right back when you activate.
Can I invoice in dollars or pounds?
Yes, and it is part of the free plan. You pick euro, dollar, pound or Swiss franc per invoice; Finq suggests the ECB rate for your invoice date and prints the VAT amount and the total in euros on the invoice, as the law requires. Your administration stays in euros, so your VAT return and reports stay correct.
Does Finq work with PayPal?
Yes. The Bank page has a separate PayPal tab where you import the activity report as a CSV. Transaction fees are booked as an expense automatically, withdrawals to your own bank are ignored and amounts in other currencies are converted. Bank imports are part of Finq Plus (EUR 4.99 per month).
